There are only few books with a great storyline. This was one of them. A great summer read.

This book is not out yet. I have read all of Christina's paranormal books. They are all excellent and I have her to thank for introducing me to paranormal romance novels. I have also read all of her other books and can say that she is one of my favorite authors. I would recommend any of her books as top of the line entertainment. I hope that she continues to write more paranormal romance series in the future.

In the dedication, Christina Dodd thanks her daughters for making her watch Beauty and the Beast in it's many forms, and Wilder is definitely a Beauty and the Beast book. Aleksandr Wilder, part of the Wilder family from Dodd's Darkness Chosen series, has suffered extreme torture at the hands of the others is locked in a beast form and no longer remembers who he is or that he is one of the Chosen. When he saves Charisma from a demon attack, it puts them on the path of helping Aleksandr remember who he really is and true love that will ultimately lead the Chosen to defeat the ultimate evil.
I've been anxiously awaiting this book to learn how the series was going to end. I have to admit I had a few issues with it. First, the book is titled Wilder, so I expected it to be more from Aleksandr's point of view instead of Charisma's. Second, there wasn't much from the other members of the Chosen. There were a few scenes with them and everyone is present in the final battle, but otherwise, not much from them. Last, the final battle was rather disappointing. Charisma and Aleksandr are confronting the Devil, I expected a confrontation that was more dramatic.
The story is well written and engaging. So I do recommend it and if you've already read the rest in the series then it's a must read.

Every seven years a group of “Chosen” are selected and these seven are to battle the evil that is attacking the world. The “Chosen” must work together if they are to succeed in defeating this evil. Unfortunately time is running out!
Aleksandr is a troubled guy. He was instrumental in helping save his family and now is struggling to do his part as a “Chosen” to save the world. So he runs from his fate. But as we all know – no one can run forever!
When Aleksandr finds Charisma being attacked – he can no longer run from fate or from himself! He must face his fears or lose his soul!
I fell in love with the Aleksandr and the Wilder family when reading Christina Dodd’s “Darkness Chosen” Series. So I have been waiting patiently – well maybe not patiently – for Aleksandr’s story (lol). In “Wilder” you get to revisit old favorites. You get a glimpse into how the rest of his family was getting by. I loved it!
“Wilder” was totally worth the wait!

Here's the description from the back of the book: WILDER: the Chosen Ones
Only beloved romantic storyteller Christina Dodd could bring you the explosive paranormal excitement of the Chosen Ones combined with Aleksandr Wilder's story of redemption…and love…
As a young man, Aleksandr Wilder abandoned his duty, and for that lapse, he was tortured, tormented…and transformed. Now he prowls the tunnels beneath the city, a warrior against the forces of hell.
After seven years battling the ultimate evil, Chosen One Charisma Fangorn is a tough fighter without illusions or joy...even her gift of hearing the earthsong has faded. Deaf to her own instincts, she never suspects a monster lurks in the dark.
When Aleksandr finds Charisma under attack, he rescues and cares for her, and hope stirs in his heart. But in the secret recesses of his soul, he knows the truth. So exceptional a woman could never love a beast…could she?
The story you’ve been waiting for:

Wilder, the last installment of Christina Dodd's Chosen Ones series, was definitely worth the wait. Dodd is a magnificent and brilliant storyteller, and the paranormal world she has created in this series is as unique as her characters are.
In her years with the Chosen Ones, heroine Charisma Fangorn has become a strong and brave leader. Along with all of Charisma's strengths, Dodd creates believable vulnerabilities that make Charisma an endearing character. On the other hand, Aleksandr Wilder, a brilliant computer expert, abandons his duty to the Chosen Ones, is betrayed by someone he trusts, and is tortured and physically transformed into a beast. Believing he will never be forgiven or find love, Aleksandr fights evil where it lives, under the city. Dodd masterfully creates two characters who believe they are unlovable, which couldn't be further from the truth. Aleksandr's dry wit coupled with Charisma's propensity to speak her mind sparks the chemistry between these two characters, making them the perfect match. Their chemistry jumps off the page with intimate, steamy, and sensually meaningful scenes.
In addition to the ideal balance of romance and action, all of our favorite secondary characters from previous novels and Aleksandr's family from the Darkness Chosen series are flawlessly integrated into the page-turning final battle of the series. All in all, Wilder is a dramatic and action-filled conclusion to a stunning and enjoyable series.
If you are a lover of paranormal romance and you haven't read a Christina Dodd novel--do! I think it goes without saying that a series should be read in order, so start at the beginning, and you won't be disappointed.

This whole series was just a little too weird for me and I did not read all of the books. However, I wanted to read this because the Darkness Chosen was one of my favorites and it was nice to revisit the Wilder family again.

The Chosen Ones Series from Christina Dodd have been A-mazing! This latest installment does not disappoint. In hindsight, I wish I would have reviewed the previous books for a refresher on characters and story-lines considering how much time has lapsed since the latest book. I really loved how the whole story seemed to pick right back up with the main plot of the first book. These two main characters may just be my favorite! If you want to dig deeper into the plot for actual real life connections, it is possible in this series due to the plot being based on good vs. evil. The end will not disappoint! Overall, I highly recommend this book (and the series as a whole) especially if you are a Christina Dodd fan.

What a disappointment! I fell in love with this series three summers
ago. I could not wait for the last book. It was a disaster. The plot,
the story development, the "mystery", it was all too much.
The conclusion was so far fetched. While I will always buy your books,
I cannot recommend this one.

I absolutely loved the book. Christina did a great job of finishing off this series. I also liked that she connected it to one of her other series.
