    Add compass reading to your outdoor skills

    I started hiking and mountain biking last year and had been using only my GPS marking trails visited. We had to do some boundary marking and I went out with an experianced search and rescue person who gave me a quick lesson in map and compass, and he put me right on top of each boundary pin or within three feet for the full two plus miles of some good hiking area.
    Mountaineersbooks are proactive and send me a corrected page by email once I visited their web site.
