“Hello, Katriona.”

Those two words spark fear in Katriona Wilde and give way to an unlikely partnership with Perth, the man she’s been traded to marry for a favor. Saving her true love and protector Arland, her family, and their soldiers keeps her motivated, but the at-odds duo soon realizes trust is something that comes and goes with each breath of Encardia’s rotting, stagnant air. The moment when concern for her missing sister spirals out of control, all thoughts of trust are pushed aside and she finds herself trapped by the daemon tricks Perth warned her of.

However, rescuing those she loves is only half the problem.

Kate still must get to Willow Falls, unite her clashing people, and form an army prepared to fight in order to defeat Darkness. When so many she’s grown fond of die along the journey, her ability to play by the gods’ rules is tested.

How will she make allies when the world appears stacked against her? And will she still be Katriona Wilde, the girl with fire?

Editorial Reviews

Dawna Raver
In typical Krystal Wade style this book rocks! If you like the first book, Wilde’s Fire, then you’re going to love this one too. The story picks up right were the book one left off. Kate finds herself betrayed, alone and desperate to find her missing loved ones. The story is fast paced from the beginning and doesn’t slow, even at the end. Wade is an excellent storyteller who paints scenes beautifully. The ending is sweet and will leave you drooling for more.

Absolutely brilliant! Everything I hoped it would be and more! Thrills, romance, surprises…what more could you ask for?
Jackie McPherson
The action starts right at the beginning and never seems to cease! While there are some beautiful, romantic, electric moments that will leave you breathless, there is also plenty of doubt, fear, lying, pretending, and running from daemons to keep you reading straight through to the end!

This is better than the first book and the characters became stronger. More action and magic and great story. I really enjoyed reading this book.
Mrs Kenyon
Wilde’s Army is just as fast paced as the first book, Wilde’s Fire, and keeps the reader anticipating the next chapter.

Meet the Author

Krystal Wade can be found in the sluglines outside Washington D.C. every morning, Monday through Friday. With coffee in hand, iPod plugged in, and strangers – who sometimes snore, smell, or have incredibly bad gas – sitting next to her, she zones out and thinks of fantastical worlds for you and me to read.

How else can she cope with a fifty mile commute?

Good thing she has her husband and three kids to go home to. They keep her sane.

Wilde’s Fire is Krystal’s debut novel, published by Curiosity Quills Press on Mother’s Day, 2012. Its sequel, Wilde’s Army, was published on 4th of July the same year.

    So much excitement!

Wow! So much excitement!! It seems like there was trouble around corner, I never knew what to expect! And how on earth do you figure out who to trust after all this madness? Kate is left with no choice but to trust the one person who seems to be the most un-trustworthy. Plus the terror of not knowing what is happening to Arland & all of her friends & family. The action starts right at the beginning and never seems to cease! While there are some beautiful, romantic, electric moments that will leave you breathless, there is also plenty of doubt, fear, lying, pretending, and running from daemons to keep you reading straight through to the end! Katriona is just amazing and I can't wait to see what is next for her and the rest of Encardia!

Oh what a wonderful roller coaster ride of emotions this book wa

Oh what a wonderful roller coaster ride of emotions this book was!! I loved it, obviously! My only complaint is I now have to wait for book 3!

I just love Kate. She is a powerful, strong female lead. And she love love loves Arland, who everyone cannot help falling in love with, too. The journey in this book had many many obstacles, and my anxiety levels went up and down the whole way through! Nothing on the journey was easy, and they face many tragedies on the way. I loved learning more about Perth, Brit, and Kate's mom. The end is so wonderful and beautiful and exciting! And of course it doesn't end so now I have something to look forward to.

This is a fantastic series and I recommend it to everyone!

Book Two of the Darkness Falls Trilogy picks up where Book One,

Book Two of the Darkness Falls Trilogy picks up where Book One, Wilde's Fire, ended: Kate is alone, everyone is missing...except for Perth, the Ground Dweller whom no one trusts. In order to rescue everyone, she must learn to trust Perth, find where they are hidden, and then get everyone to the relative safety of Willow Falls. Relative because while there are no daemons to fight in Willow Falls, there are dangerous politics and Ground Dweller customs that she must adjust to and learn about.

Some people thought Wilde's Fire had some slow parts to it, but not so in Wilde's Army. It is action packed and nerve-wracking to the last.

This book elicited a lot of emotions for me. Fear and nervousness for Kate, Perth and the people who were captured (heck, I even was nervous about the horses!). Anger and affronted feminism toward some of the men in this book. Happiness, sadness, relief, and anxiety. You run the full gamut of emotions in this book.

I am very much looking forward to book 3 to see how this all ends!

OMG!!!!!! I am not sure where to begin...... I absolutely love

OMG!!!!!! I am not sure where to begin......

I absolutely loved the first book in this series, Wilde's Fire. When I got a hold of a copy of Wilde's Army, I was super stoked.

The story started off where Wilde's Fire ended. This is where Perth enters the story in a more of a main character capacity. You want to hate Perth, but it is just too hard. Maybe it is because I picture him as hot in my head..lol..

Kate is such a strong character that I admire her strength and passion. Just when you thought she was down for the count, she gathers her inner strength and steel determination to conquer the problem.

I have a hard time saying anything negative about this book because there just wasn't anything. The story was engaging and fast paced. It was everything I look for when settling down for a good read.
