Overview

Lyss Brewer is starting the new year in a cheap motel with a wrinkled party dress and mascara stains on her cheeks. No job. No money. And as of New Year's Eve: No boyfriend and no place to live.

Just when everything is going completely wrong, something finally goes right. Lyss is given the chance to start over when she is offered a live-in position at an historic inn. The inn will become her sanctuary, and the colorful characters who work there will become her family. However, Lyss will soon discover that the walls which surround her hold much more than history.

As fear of a serial killer spreads throughout the city of Santa Fe, Lyss begins to wrestle with her own sanity. Is she hallucinating or is she really seeing ghosts? Just when she thinks she's found the connection, her world is turned upside down.

Will Lyss listen to the voices that haunt her? Or will she trust the one person who can't be trusted?

Meet the Author

She’s the type of person who doesn’t have a favorite color. She's a gypsy at heart who was raised on country music, green chile, and change.

Sarah Spann got her start working as a freelance writer specializing in travel and style. She has written articles, web content and blogs for both small businesses and large corporations. Prior to working full-time as a writer she spent four years working at a bed & breakfast inn, a short stint working as the only vegetarian at a chicken wings stop, a house cleaner, a house sitter guaranteed to lose your cats, a gift basket designer, and the little waitress that couldn't. Somewhere in between she was waitlisted for film school and rejected by a popular television singing competition.

When Sarah isn’t writing or designing she can be found dining on gourmet food, spending time at the opera, and taming lions. Well…not really. Actually, you can find her making a mess in the kitchen as she tries out impossibly difficult exotic recipes for foods she can't pronounce, watching all of her favorite shows and/or football on TV, and playing with her lazy, fat cat.

    Fast, Fun, Fantastic Paranormal Read!

Oh my gosh! This book had such a surprise ending. Do not peek at the last chapter, you must read the book word for word. It is refreshingly scary and interesting without leaving you depressed, but wanting a sequel. I judge a good book by if I can picture if being made into a movie as I read it...this should be made into a movie. Really good book!
