A Universal Question, thoughtfully answered!

What do you think: Will we see our dogs and cats in the hereafter? Does God's plan for eternity include the created nonhuman world? Franciscan friar and popular writer Father Jack Wintz brings a love for all creation and infectious enthusiasm to the serious task of exploring answers to these long-asked questions,

In Will I See My Dog in Heaven? Father Jack admits that no one really knows what God has in mind for us in the next life. But in ten thoughtful chapters, he lines up evidence from the Scriptures, Christian tradition and liturgy, and the life and teachings of St. Francis of Assisi, that God desires all creatures (yes, including our beloved pets!) in the afterlife.

Editorial Reviews

Library Journal

This little volume by longtime writer and Franciscan friar Wintz has a strikingly serious yet warm message. For Wintz, a careful and spiritually adept student not only of the Bible but of the life and words of St. Francis, God's promise of a new creation at the end of time extends to the animal companions we have known and loved in this life: "the whole created world will somehow be saved." Strongly recommended.

Amazing book for anyone who's had to lose a furry friend!

I was actually given this book by a friend of the author. I'm am not terribly religious, so I was skeptical to read it at first. I was afraid that it would be "too biblical". However, I was pleasantly surprised!!! I read this book in one night. It was such an easy read, and incredibly informative. I just couldn't put it down. I think its target audience is obviously those of Christian or Catholic religion. But, it is written in such a way that anyone of any faith can enjoy it... as long as they love their pets. I also work in the veterinary field and recommend this book to people almost on a weekly basis. I'd imagine that it would be a very comforting read for someone who has just lost a pet.

    Wonderful

I found this book after my beloved companion and best friend passed away unexpectantly. The title of this book caught my attention as this question I have always asked and received an unacceptable answer with no explanation. For anyone who has lost a pet of any type, take the time to read this book. My mind was put to rest after reading this informative book which quotes scriptures. I am now satisfied with the answer to this often asked question!
