Great in 1975 and still great today!

I bought this album while in the Army stationed in Germany in 1975. It made an otherwise dull and drab time seem like I was on an Island vacation. It served me well, and I played it over and over. I still enjoy it very much every time I play it now. It will make you feel good...

    Most people are missing out...

A truly gifted artist and it's a shame he didn't produce any more than he did. That which he shared was truly magical. This CD is a keeper. Back to the Island is a hidden treasure.

One of the best songwriters ever.

Many people don't realize what a terrific songwriter Leon Russell is. They don't know that he wrote A Song for You, Masquerade, and other other well known songs. He is so versatile and puts on one of the best shows ever. He can rock n roll, play the blues, country, and really show people a good time. He doesn't talk much...just plays. Saw him recently in a small joint. He is older, walks with a cane, has his son playing drums, and his daughter doing percussion. He can still boogie. Check him out on the Earl Scruggs and friends music video. Has anyone found the Wedding Album on CD?

The best honky-tonk/blues player you never heard of

Whatever became of Leon Russell? 'Carney' and 'Shelter People' as well as 'Will 'o the Wisp' are magical, and yet you never hear of him anymore. Too bad, a truly great artist
