The waterfront is Stacey’s life but she’s determined not to fall in love with a man the sea can take from her. But Stacey's plan to marry safe, dependable Steven Masters hits the rocks when her fiancé’s brother sails into the Noyo River—and into Stacey’s heart!
Stacey is the woman Russel Masters has always dreamed of — but he can’t betray his brother again!
Author’s Note: I originally wrote this book for my print publisher. But although my editor liked the story, he wanted me to change Steven because he was too nice. Readers, he told me, would be upset at Stacey’s falling in love with her nice fiance's brother.
For me, the whole point of the story was the moral dilemma of three good people caught in a love triangle. Steven was exactly what Stacey thought she wanted, a good, dependable man. She was determined to love him, but …
So I didn’t change the story, and thanks to the world of Indie Publishing, you can decide whether you agree with the editor – or the author.
Writing fiction is a perfect life choice for someone who can’t make up her mind what she wants to do when she grows up!
There are so many choices and I want to do them all. In real life I’ve taken a lot of roads: I’ve studied psychology, volunteered as a peer counselor for a family life organization, worked as an accountant and a software developer, and taught accounting and fraud investigation at a university. Best of all, I've told stories about life, love, and secrets. My heroes and heroines have lived many of the lives I’m fascinated by.
I live with my wonderful husband and two aging-but-energetic Australian Shepherds on Vancouver Island … and every so often we indulge in wanderlust and leave the island to go exploring.
