Rachel Caine is the author of more than twenty novels, including the "Weather Warden" series. She was born at White Sands Missile Range, which people who know her say explains a lot. She has been an accountant, a professional musician, and an insurance investigator, and still carries on a secret identity in the corporate world. She and her husband, fantasy artist R. Cat Conrad, live in Texas with their iguanas, Popeye and Darwin; a mali uromastyx named (appropriately) O’Malley; and a leopard tortoise named Shelley (for the poet, of course).

    Rachel Caines Weather Warden Series

    Another Wild Ride!

    The story starts off w/ Jo and her efforts to make a living as a normal person. Unfortunately things kept getting in the way of that. Like her job as a weather girl and the humiliation she went through just to make ends meet. Her sister barges into her life out of nowhere. David is not in the best frame of mind and strength. In fact he keeps siphoning off her strengths and is bleeding her dry magically. Jonathan makes two tough decisions after all the threats he's made to Jo don't work. The outcome of those decisions are extraordinary. I love the ending of this book and can't wait to pick up the next.

    I love this series. Rachel Cain does a fantastic job of pulling you in an keeping you in until the end. This book is impossible to put down.

    It was okay

    I bought the whole series cause I love the idea of people being able to play with the earths elements. Well I read the first book and it took me forever to get through it! Read the first book see how you like it then try the other ones. They are all just the same. My sister loved them though so it all depends on the reader
