STEP BY STEP WINDOWS 7 by Joan Preppernau and Joyce is a handy reference tool. I found it helpful in showing me how to install various programs, and how to operate Windows 7. I use the book as a resource tool; I'm holding on to it to use for future questions I may encounter about operating Windows 7. This text simplifies and explains the material clearly. It is organized and logical. I especially find the index thorough and helpful. All in all, I give this text an excellent rating, and would recommend it for classroom and student use. The text answered my questions.

This book is aimed primarily at beginners and is good in that respect. It can help anyone, including the more experienced, familiarize themselves with the new features of Win7, though it lacks in-depth detail advanced users would probably want.
