It should be noted that my rating is for the Nook sample, not the full text. The Nook sample book only has 5 pages, and they consist of the book's Table of Contents, and nothing else! No actual text content appears in the sample book. I wish this sample had at least a dozen pages or so of actual content so that I can make a purchase decision between this book, "Windows 8 for Dummies 10-in-1," and the "Windows 8 Bible." It's possible that this is a B&N technical issue and not the fault of the author or publisher.

    A joke

Without meaningful text, it is impossible to judge if the book would be useful. Why bother?
