    Roth KNOWS

Although I have not read this book specifically, Dave Roth is the foremost expert on explaing PERL on Win32. His books allowed me to get back into CGI programming on Win32 based machines.

If only more software books were written like this one

If you are needing to do any Perl work on a Win32 system, THIS IS THE BOOK! Clear, concise and he does not waste your time with what you should have already learned in Programming Perl, i.e. there is no fluff in this book. He covers all of the major concepts needed to administer a Win32 system. His chapter on how to develop your own extensions was particularly good for a starter course. The publisher needs to hire this author to write books about advanced Win32 programming concepts. I plan to give my copy away and buy the next release of this book when it is ready.
