    Wine and Roses

I loved this book because THIS couple knew what they wanted and needed. They didn't play games with each other. It was obvious that they loved each other. GREAT READ!!!

Despite what some of the earlier reviews suggested, I found this to be a really good read! It had romance, strong character development and even some action! Definitely a worthy offering to the interracial romance/erotica genre.

Wine & Roses is the third book in The Guardian Agency series by Ursula Sinclair. Ursula Sinclair is the alter ego of award winning author LaVerne Thompson. I chose this book because I read one of the prior books in the series and this interested me. This book can be read as a standalone novel without any confusion.

Eboni Stiles called Simon Blackcat after witnessing a murder. She knows he would protect her. She is a very realistic character. She can be tough when she needs to be. Eboni does not want to be hurt by Simon so after there one night stand she does not want to be around him. This is a very realistic fear she holds.

Simon Blackcat could not get Eboni out of his mind. She calls him to protect her and he races to her side. He is a handsome, passionate, and sexy man. I loved how realistic character he was especially in his want to protect Eboni from danger.

The chemistry between them is explosive. The sex scenes are hot and steamy. They seem to spend a lot of time in the book running from their feelings for each other.

The only gripe I have is that the beginning was a bit messy and hard to follow. I wish the author was much clearer. Overall, this is a great book. I wonder what will be next in the series. I can’t wait to pick up the next book in the series.

    The Bodyguard

Eboni Stiles and Simon Blackcat have a past. It was a night that was burned into Simon’s mind since it happened. When he gets a call from Eboni shortly after she left her sister’s wedding reception, her voice told him her need for him was anything but cardinal. Not wanting to ruin her sister’s day, Eboni turns to the only person she knows can help. Providing his services as the owner of his own bodyguard agency, Simon sets out to protect Eboni from a contract killer and make sure she realizes she needs him on other ways as well.

I fell in love with love all over again. Ursula Sinclair’s “Wine & Roses” was a feel good story with a hero that was endearing from the start. This was book three in a series but I did not feel lost having not read the other two books in the series. This was a classic whodunit with an underlying love story. It was well edited and the story flowed while building the drama, suspense and love story.
