THE WINGMAN ON ICE AUTHOR: MATT CHRISTIPHER The main charter of this book is Tod. He is a very shy person until you get to know him as a friend. He loves all sports but manly hockey. He has one sister a mom and a dad. He makes a promise that he won¿t play with his new hockey stick until he has earned it. His hockey team the Knights is pretty good but Tod feels like he is one of the worst players. He is a very fast skater but can¿t handle the puck very well. He practices every day but doesn¿t think he is getting much better. Now do you think he will get to play with his new stick before the season is over? This story takes place in present day. The lesson to be learned here is that practice does make you better but only if you keep at it. I really enjoyed this book mainly because I love all sports and love reading about sports. I can connect to this book because one time I had to improve to make the basketball team so I practiced all that I could and ended up making the team. Some other books that I read that are similar are Snowboard Maverick, Skate Tough, and Stealing Home. That was all about the book I read, The Wingman On Ice.
