I bought the book knowing what I was getting into. The summary is honest. These are the heartfelt stories of men and women who were brought up or into the Church and were hurt over and over again simply because of their sexuality. Yet, for every hurtful moment, there is another of strength, of peace. Many of these stories are from men and women who serve as Pastors or in some other capacity.
I highly recommend this book for Christians who don't actually know any gay or lesbian people.
I also highly recommend it for gays and lesbians who think they know the Church.
Really, I recommend it for anyone, gay or straight, who thinks you can't be queer and be a Christian.
