Meet the Author

Having worked closely with job seekers of all nationalities and disciplines it continues to fascinate me that otherwise bright people don't put the work in to prepare themselves for the jobs market in general and job interviews in particular. This is why an awful lot of good people get rejected and (exaggerating to make the point) a lot of awful people get hired. Admittedly, they are not well served by much of the literature on the subject and this is my attempt to redress the balance. My unique but simple approach has worked well for my clients and, providing you do your prep, it will work well for you too.

This book is quite timely with the economy in the state it is in and so many people out of work. You really need to step up your game if you want to get hired, more people out of work means more competition. Alan gives you specific steps you can take to come out on top and succeed at your interview and ultimately get the job. Learn what questions to ask, what information to present, how to present yourself and tips for making yourself stand out. Like Alan says, it no longer is enough to just be yourself, you have to sell yourself and this book can help you do that. I would suggest this little book to anyone looking for a job that might be frustrated with going on interview after interview and not getting a call back. Start working on yourself and you will see results.
