    A Winning New Book

    Like all business owners, I've confronted the task of finding and keeping talented employees. My methods of recruiting and retention used to be old fashioned. They won't be old fashioned anymore, not after reading Mr. Tulgan's book. I found many useful tips and lots of step by step advice. And most of all, the book really taught me how to embrace free agency instead of resist it. Really an excellent book. I highly recommend it.

    Great Book...

    Winning the Talent Wars opened my eyes to the concept of negotiating and renegotiating with my employees based on my specific needs at any given time. In the last few years I've made so many changes within my organization, that my employees and managers have been required to shift focus several times, sometimes with little notice. I can't afford to have any 'dead weight'... I need people who produce what my clients need, when they need it. Tulgan's idea, pay for performance, not for time... is RIGHT ON!

    From Feudal to the Future

    Five cheers to Bruce Tulgan for writing one of the best business books around. What I appreciated was the concrete suggestions he offers that any manager can implement--mostly without the approval of anyone. This book shows how some courageous managers in this country are turning 'common sense' into 'common practice': something all too uncommon. Tulgan not only 'shows' but 'tells' us what to do specifically so we can win the Talent Wars in our organizations.

    Tulgan the Talented Strikes Again!!!

    I love Tulgan's real life examples of employees who have finally won the talent war for themselves...and employers who have not yet discovered how to win. Think your 'dream job' doesn't exist? Read 'Winning the Talent Wars' and think again!

    Winning the Talent Wars

    I read this book in a couple of sittings.It¿s an easy read, not too long, but packs in a lot of information. I wish my workplace were run like this. I especially liked the chapter on coaching-style management. The managers where I work are very much like those ¿manage by fear¿ types Tulgan talks about. They really make work hell. There¿s no support, and hardly any positive feedback. I¿m thinking about sneaking my copy into my manager¿s mailbox with some chapters bookmarked. She could certainly learn a thing or two from it!
