Story Behind the Book
Over the years, both Gayle and her husband have been involved in the church. Chuck has been an elder for many years, Gayle has led the women's ministry, and they've both taught. They have experienced and observed the fights within a congregation. They've also witnessed believers coming alongside someone in need time after time after time. Gayle wanted to write about a church full of real people—some good, some selfish and troublemakers. She also wanted the fun of writing a marriage of convenience that turns into a love match. This story provided that opportunity.

Wow! What a book! I could not put it down. When I finished it I just wanted to say 'Hallelujah'! I was so engrossed in the freezing snowstorm in the second-to-last chapter that I had to remind myself I was reading the book on a warm summer day. The entire book just came alive around me. I felt the characters were friends of mine and I was living through this experience in their lives. This is the fourth book in this series, and I've enjoyed all four. They treat contemporary issues in a light, easy to read text. In this one, the characters respond to major disappointments when their will doesn't align with God's will. The book is a combination love story and mystery. It's a 'must read' for young couples! Thank you, Ms. Roper, for this fourth book in the Seaside Seasons series. Was this review helpful?
