Overview

Alone, with a fall gale howling around the rafters, Amy turns to see a woman's rain-streaked face staring at her through the dark window.

The face is...identical to her own!

Then, a pale hand slides down the glass leading streaks of crimson...

Amy's life crumbles. Her husband leaves, her only child is taken, and something sinister surrounds her and those she loves. She is catapulted into a world she knows nothing about - a place where a killer rules, where answers are buried, where her life is in constant peril, and where her son, Jamie, is hidden.

To find her child, she must find her look-alike, and that dislodges a killer who hunts her relentlessly. Sheriff Dallas Wayburne's investigation parallels Amy's, and their combined efforts draw them together when time is critical and when their relationship adds yet another dimension to Amy's stressful life.

WINTER'S DESTINY is an edge-of-the-seat thriller - love story set on the rugged Pacific Coast of Oregon. Here, the story reaches its unique and spectacular conclusion.

    Great Book: Recommended highly.

This was an action adventure for one mother and son. The twists and turns make this a real page turner.

    Interesting

Lots of twists, turns and murder. This was an interesting and entertaining novel. It was well edited and a decent length. There are some adult topics, adultry, sex, violence, kidnapping, child abuse and experiments. The ending was a bit of a surprize. For ages 18 and up.

(I am back with chapter one! Enjoy)
    Chapter 1: the storm
Snowpaw met her mentor sitting at the base of a beech tree, her stripped tail flickering with impatiance. "What took you so long /paw/?" She snapped.
Snowpaw winced at her rather sharp words but brought her courage back. "I was thinking, about the snow ma'am." She mewed.
Her mentor glared at her, her eyes in narrow slits. "The elders need fresh bedding. They've been complaining," she closed her eyes. "But my tasks as a warrior haven't givin me time to give the elders what they need. I want you to go to misty rocks and collect moss. Understand?"
Snowpaw nodded slowly, going over what her mentor had said. "Misty rocks? Don't I need a warrior with me?"
    "No! Your fine."
Snowpaw turned her back on her mentor and slowly padded away, glancing over her shoulder every once and a while. She exited the safe camp and slowly made her way towards misty rocks. The forest was oddly quiet, not a creature stirred. The grass was draped with a fresh twinkling frost and the air was cold and uneasy. Snowpaw angled her ears towards the closes sound. She glanced around, her excited eyes turning into fearful eyes. "It's creepy out here..." she whispered.
One sound made her jump. The sound of paw steps. They were too big to be a vole or a rabbit. Too small to match with a dogs. Soon she noticed it was a cat. An angry cat. She stopped dead in her tracks, her first instinct was to turn tail and run. Her legs didn't want to move. She started to tremble. "C-Come out! I'm not a-afraid!"
    (Chapter two out soon!)

    Good Reading!

Action packed adventure thriller. Poetic license allowed Deadly Doright to save the heroine multiple times.

    Like her style

I wanted something not to light reading but not heavy either. This was perfect. Yes, it's a love story and murder mystery but it doesn't follow the usual formula. The characters are well developed and likable scenes are set without being too wordy. I will look for more by this author

    GREAT!

This is one of those whodunits that keeps you reading until it is over but leaves you feeling like there should be more. I loved it! Great characters and moves right along. I would recommend this to everyone.
