The Wisconsin Garden guide is a good starter book for new gardeners. It covers the basics but still presents some new information for those of us with a little more experience. I bought this book because I wanted to do a small fruit garden which I hadn't done before. I found the section on fruits to be very informative. This book definately is more focused on organic and chemical free gardening which is very cool except every once in a while I find that I cannot always be chemical free. It would have been nice to include some of the safer treatments and options available to people who aren't able be totally organic. But overall a nice garden guide that is focused on our states climate limitations.
