Overview

Meg Finn is in trouble. Cast out of her home by her stepfather after her mom's death, Meg is a wanderer, a troublemaker. But after her latest stunt, finding a place to sleep is the least of her worries. Belch, Meg's partner in crime, has gotten her involved in the attempted robbery of an elderly man, Lowrie McCall. But things go horribly wrong. After an accidental explosion, Meg's spirit is flung into limbo, and a race begins between the demonic and the divine to win Meg's soul. Meg's really not a bad kid, but she hasn't exactly been an angel either, so the tally of her good and evil deeds is dead even. Her only chance of tipping the scales to salvation is to go back to Earth and do good -- specifically, to help Lowrie McCall. He's got many regrets in his life to set right -- a "wish list" -- and not much time left to do it. But even if Meg can persuade Lowrie to get mixed up with her, she's going to have to deal with an even scarier, undead Belch -- who's now definitely on the side of the Devil. A wild journey to the unexpected hereafter, The Wish List is a heartwarming tale of a young girl's last chance, and the love she will need to -- quite literally -- redeem herself.

I love all of Mr. Colfer's books, but this may have been my favorite! I really liked the plot--it was simple and easy, yet fun and exciting, and I like the way the story turned out, and the realism behind it. It was very funny, and the characters were believable, and I would definitely read it again!

Great book, lot of action, and well written. A creative idea. In the begining, it may seem a little confusing, but you'll catch on write away. I liked the characters, and the conclusion. Others will too. It is about a girl who commited crime, and when she dies she is in between heaven and hell. The girl, Meg, must help and old man complete his Wish List, but its not as simple as it seems..........

Eion Colfer, The Wish List is a bittersweet book about doing the right thing for people that like fantasy. The wish list takes place in a town called Dublin. The main character is Meg Finn in Eion Colfer's, The Wish List. Meg Finn is a ghost after a gas tank explosion. She wasn't good enough to go to heaven but wasn't bad enough to go to hell. Meg goes back to the real world as a ghost and tries to make herself a better person. Meg helps an old guy named Lowrie McCall that she tried to rob when she was alive. Will Meg make it to heaven or will she go to hell or maybe she will do absolutely nothing and stay in the middle? Eion Colfer's readers from all around will love the wish list because of its amazing parts about respect, love, and life.

This book is probably one of the best books I have ever read and that's saying something because I have read over a million books. If I had to to pick on what shelf it would be on it would probably be on the same as Artemis Fowl.

This book is easily my second favorite book. Colfer pulls readers in with a unique plot. The first scene is a litttle intense. I would recommend this book to people who like a bitter sweet ending.
