Blending a few somewhat-known industrial artists with a selection of obscure no-names, Wish You Were Queer: A Tribute to Ministry is sporadically successful, with some of the better moments coming from Hate Dept., Meg Lee Chin, and the Hardgore Cadaverdog Sex Slaves featuring onetime Al Jourgensen bandmate Groovie Mann of My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult. Still, since Ministry's sound was more metallic and aggressive than most straight industrial acts, many of these versions tend to dilute the impact of their music.
