You can always count on Decadent Publishing's 1Night Stand series to be sexy and entertaining. It's the perfect snack to bring a smile to your face and a bit of steam to your day. With its short word count there's not much background story which leads right to the nitty gritty of the storyline. Which in Wishing for Love revolves around a lonely witch looking for an uncomplicated romance who ends up with a suave lover with gifts that only she can bring out.
Luvenia and Marcus are both likable characters wanting to be liked for themselves, not what they can do for others. Their time together is a dreamlike fantasy where she especially tries to keep certain truths a secret. This does lead to a small misunderstanding that is obvious from the beginning, but thankfully gets resolved quickly. When talking about the 1NS series you must also mention the satisfying and steamy sexual interludes that are seamlessly woven into the storyline. These scenes add a bit of naughtiness to the overall decadent dessert quality this series offers its readers.
Denise McCray has created an entertaining story that has me intrigued to see what she can create given a longer word count. Wishing for Love is a pleasant interlude with a straightforward premise that still manages to draw readers in and will leave paranormal fans satisfied.

Each novella has a set of new characters that are initially looking for one night of amazing, commitment free sex. They eventually realize that Madame Evangeline has a knack for setting potential lovers up with their soul mates. These novella’s are a really quick read but they are all great stories. Luvenia and Marcus’ story was fun to read. I only wished it was a little longer. Definitely put Denise McCray on your author to read list.
