Overview

King of the Witches. Queen of the Witches. Bren and Jazz are finally together, and finally safe. They should have it made, right?

Except for Bren's terrifying vision of the Shadowmaster escaping her prison, Jazz's nightmares and growing jealousy, mysterious girls with special abilities showing up at random, and old witch factions going to war with peaceful refugees...

Safety turns to desperate danger when a shapeshifting dwarf kidnaps Bren's brother, the sanctuaries erupt in riots and bloodshed, and Bren and Jazz face a crisis of trust that threatens to tear apart their relationship--and the witching world. It's obvious something dreadful has descended upon L.O.S.T., but what? Bren and Jazz must find a way to stand together, or watch everything they have built tear itself apart.

Please Note: The L.O.S.T. trilogy was previously published under the pseudonyms Debbie Federici and Susan Vaught.

Meet the Author

R.S. Collins grew up on a ranch in rural southeastern Arizona, close to the border of Mexico. Now she’s a full-time writer who has penned many novels under another pseudonym and lives in metropolitan Phoenix, a long way from out in the country where she was raised. She majored in journalism at the University of Arizona and ended up in a couple of different careers before being fortunate enough to write for a living. R.S. started writing as a kid and often turned school writing projects that were supposed to be mere paragraphs into novellas. She always dreamed of magic and distant places, things that were different and unique. Her imagination took her on flights of fantasy, travels to other worlds. Reading was something R.S. did constantly. She would get lost in the worlds that authors created and it was something that she wanted to do someday, too. Following the releases of the L.O.S.T. trilogy, R.S.’s Sign of the Crescent will be published in April, 2014.

S.R. Vaught lives with her family and her many pets (including a very bossy parrot) on a small poultry farm in Western Kentucky. She works as Director of Psychological Services at a state psychiatric facility, and she spends her evenings and weekends furiously scribbling and typing life into novels, short stories, and poems. She has written a number of fantasies for young adults, including the award-winning and historical Stormwitch and the epic Oathbreaker books: Assassin’s Apprentice and Prince Among Killers, co-authored with her son JB Redmond and published by Bloomsbury Children's. She has also written Trigger, Big Fat Manifesto, Exposed, Going Underground, and Freaks Like Us, with Bloomsbury Children's, all contemporary novels drawing from her experiences and her work as a neuropsychologist.
