Nancy Drew and The Witch Tree Symbol is the BEST book ever!!!!!!

Nancy Drew and The Witch Tree Symbol
Carolyn Keene
Grosset&Dunlap
mystery

Do you know how to catch a jewel thief? Do you know how to locate a missing person? Nancy can. The fun filled series Nancy Drew was brought to you by Carolyn Keene. This book in the series is titled Nancy Drew and the Witch Tree Symbol. Well this story starts out in the powder blue convertible driving to the Follett Mansion. Nancy was asked to accompany Mrs. Tenny to her great aunt's old mansion. As they entered the old mansion Mrs. Tenny gasped as she looked around and all the old antiques that had been there the other day were gone! As they looked around Nancy found a scrap of paper on the floor. It was an interesting design and Mrs. Tenny identified it as ¿the witch tree symbol.¿ Nancy went to what they call ¿amish country¿ because she was asked by Mrs. Tenny to investigate the missing antiques that she thought her cousin, who was an antique dealer, had stolen. And as always George and Bess, Nancy's faithful friends, came along. While she was there she was getting closer and closer to solving the mystery and so the person who Nancy was trying to catch started putting out rumors and Nancy started to be excluded and was being called ¿the witch girl.¿ A little later Nancy's boyfriend, Ned, came to amish country with Bess and George's dates. Well Ned and Nancy were going to a dance later and on their way they got run off the road and went flying out of their buggy. While Bess and George and their dates are searching for them ,Ned and Nancy make a startling discovery.

Nancy, Bess, and George, a working trio, are always busy working on a case. Nancy, a blond slender girl, is the main brains of the trio when it comes to a case. Nancy is a brave, intelligent, friendly girl. Nancy, Bess, and George are the best of friends. Bess, a slightly plump girl, is the cousin of George. Bess is a little timid but considerate. George, a slender dark haired girl, is honest, daring, and very studious. Roger Holet is the antagonist this book of the series and he is hiding undercover somewhere.

Nancy Drew and The Witch Tree Symbol is a must read for children under the age of 13. This book is filled with action and it just draws the reader in, I thought I was actually there with Nancy helping her solve the case. There is just such a pull to the beginning of the story that you will never want to put it down. One of what I think is the best parts is when Nancy, Bess, and George are staying with a family in a Bed and Breakfast and they are helping the mother cook at five in the morning so they could sell their things in the market. This part just made me feel that I was cooking because of the detail and the description. The action filled book will seem like it ended all too quickly but don't worry, there are many other books of the same quality in the series and if you finish the Nancy Drew series there is still the Hardy Boys. I would definitely give this book a five star rating and I know you will too.
