I'm not into fantasy books that much. Especially when it deals with knights, castles, and medieval times. This book surprised me though. I actually enjoyed it a lot and found that a story about a wizard that only knows one single spell is quite interesting. Basically this book is about a guy that is very lazy and was only able to learn one spell from his teacher before he died. His family then kicks him out and he travels in hope of finding someone else that will teach him spells at his age.( He is too old to be an apprentice). At the town that he travels to he gets into trouble and must go on a quest to slay a dragon and if he does slay the dragon he gets a reward.

I read this one after the "Warlord" one and was looking forward to be disappointed again. I was, but not as much. This one has a more interesting set of characters and the story line worked better for me. I actually wanted to read this one to the end. Still I would not recommend it.
