Overview

Jennifer Blake, Heather Graham and Diana Palmer, well-loved voices of romance fiction, bring you three new stories of sultry Southern romance. With a Southern Touch will renew your faith in the power of love.

An eighth-generation Louisianian, Jennifer Blake says "few things have stopped the women in my family from doing what we think is important. 'Steel Magnolia' grit and determination are in our blood." Married at fifteen, Jennifer and her husband recently celebrated more than four decades of happily-ever-after.

"My mom and dad are Irish and Scottish respectively, so I'm a first-generation Floridian," says Heather Graham. "South Florida has always been my home, and I love it—the sun, the water and the beach. My husband and I were high school sweethearts and we've raised (and are still raising!) five children here in the sunshine state."

"The women in our family are traditionally strong and independent, thanks to our Scottish-Irish heritage," Diana Palmer says. "And the characters in this story share this same heritage." A die-hard romantic, Diana Palmer married her husband five days after they met, and they have lived in northern Georgia ever since, raising a son and a menagerie of animals.

Three remarkable women with their own remarkable stories.

    three amusing Southern tales

¿Adam¿ by Jennifer Blake. In Louisiana, Adam confronts Lara as to the whereabouts of her Aunt Kim wanted for questioning in the killing of her husband, the nephew of the local mob chief. As Lara and Adam chat, Kim enters the room just before three gangsters arrive. As they try to stay safe the younger couple finds love enters the mix.
¿A Night in Paradise¿ by Heather Graham. In Florida, senior citizens Michael and Mary agree to marry. Michael informs his grandson Max while Mary tells her granddaughter Aurora. Max is stunned that his beloved grandfather is marrying a gold digger, Aurora. He confronts Aurora who believes he is more concerned with his inheritance than Max¿s well being. When Max learns the truth he thinks this is great, but seeks revenge on Aurora by hiding the facts from him until they kiss.
¿Garden Cop¿ by Diana Palmer. In Georgia, FBI agent Curtis visits his mother while looking for a missing government informant Abe, who is reportedly nearby. Curtis observes neighbor Mary growing marijuana and reports her. The next day Curtis sees the plants and pulls them out of the ground. Mary, a deputy DA, accuses Curtis of killing her tomato plants. As they become better acquainted they fall in love, but the mob wants Abe dead and will kill anyone else in the way.
These three amusing tales star a contemporary southern female initially disliking the new man in her life before falling in love with him. Though the story lines never fully develop the romances, each tale is fun and the cast provides a flavor of the region.
Harriet Klausner
