One of the best books on prayer I have ever read!

Andrew Murray's book With Christ in the School of Prayer is probably the most powerful book on prayer that I have ever read! I was so challenged in the way I thought about prayer, the role prayer has in the Christian's life and the amazing power of prayer. There were times I was in tears as I read and thought of my lack of faith and the times I've neglected the awesome privilege we have to present our requests to God and lift others up before the throne. Written in 31 short chapters, this would make an excellent devotional book for a month long study on prayer. Murray covers various aspects of prayer such as the example Christ set for us, boldness and true faith in prayer, persevering prayer, purpose of prayer, the role of the Holy Spirit in prayer, Christ as our intercessor and the ministry we can have in intercessory prayer. I would highly recommend this book if you are ready to enter the "school of prayer" with Christ as the teacher and develop a deeper life of prayer!

This book is a must read

This is the best book on prayer I have read. I thought I knew a 'little bit' about prayer -- but this book showed me how much more there is for me to learn. Extremely well written and can be used by a novice or an expert. Best money I ever spent.

Best read slowly so that you can fully digest the information in each chapter. Our intercessory prayer group is reading the book also.

    Excellent Classic

As always Andrew Murray's work is excellent. This book is a classic that challenges us in today's world to learn from He who came to save us. Jesus continuously prayed. He was always before His Father. How can we do less when the Apostle John said that if all Jesus' works were written down, the books would fill the world. Are any of us busier than that?
