When granted leave for the holidays, Cord decides to seek Maloree out.

I originally bought this book for two reasons, one I'm a sucker for military romance & two I'd never read a book by Skye Turner before. I'm so glad I bought this book. It will have you laughing & crying plus I now know how I can do a little something for the lovely men & women who keep our country safe. I love how some of it was based off a real story. Put it short, it's AMAZING! A true tear jerker, have them Kleenexes handy

I gave this book 5 stars. This is a beautiful story, full of love. The moment I started reading this book I was hooked. This is a beautiful story right from the start, but it goes deeper then that and shows you what love is really all about. You will laugh and you will cry, YOU will NEVER want it to end. I could have read about these two characters forever. I am sure these stories happen in real life, at least I hope they do. You don't want to miss yet another hit out of the park from Skye Turner, it will leave you wanting more. My heart felt a little bit bigger when I was done with this book ! Thank you Skye for showing us another side to your writing. You're an incredible author and I cannot wait to read what you have in store for us next!

This book was a great romantic read. Cord is in the Army and is currently deployed. Maloree is a romance author. She has been sending a cup of coffee to deployed service members for the last 2 years through an organization called Cup of Joe for a Joe. Cord is one of the recipients of Maloree’s donation. He writes back to her thanking her for the cup of coffee and at the bottom is a request that they become pen pals. She clicks on it and writes back to him. Before long they are emailing often and talk about everything. Then Cord asks if she would like to Skype. She says yes and they begin skyeing as well as emailing. Then he lets her know that he will be getting some leave and wants to know if they could meet in person. Maloree is nervous but says yes. There are feeling on both sides this could change everything. So when Cord is granted his leave he spends a week with his family and then goes to visit Maloree. He isn’t sure what to expect but is happy when he gets there and she kisses him. He knows now that he isn’t the only feeling more than friendship. Who would have ever thought that one donated cup of coffee could change both their lives so much? Will Cord and Maloree have more than just those few days together? This book was such a fun read. Cord and Maloree’s relationship was wonderful to read. They had only been talking for about 3 months but when you know that person is your one time doesn’t matter. Their relationship has some obstacles. How will Maloree handle it when Cord goes back to finish his tour? Cord has always thought the army would be his life, but now that he has found Maloree he is beginning to want a different future. Maloree has a lot of worries, like if she can really date someone who is gone all the time? This story was so real for me and the things Maloree worried about are things people who date a military member worry about. This book was very romantic and not just because of the added holiday theme to it. Cord seems to always say and do the most romantic things. This is the first by Skye Turner I have read and I will definitely be reading some her other book s in the future. I was given this book in return for an honest review.
