Overview

Without a Doubt is not just a book about a trial. It's a book about a woman. Marcia Clark takes us inside her head and her heart. Her voice is raw, incisive, disarming, unmistakable. Her story is both sweeping and deeply personal. How did she do it, day after day? What was it like, orchestrating the most controversial case of her career in the face of the media's relentless klieg lights? How did she fight her personal battles - those of a working mother balancing a crushing workload and a painful, very public ...

How did she fight her personal battles - those of a working mother balancing a crushing workload and a painful, very public divorce? When did she know that her case was lost? Who stood by her, and who abandoned her? And how did she cope with the outcome? As Clark shares the secrets of her own life, we understand for the first time why she identified so strongly with Nicole, in a way no man ever could. No one is spared in this unflinching account - least of all Clark herself, who candidly admits what she wishes she'd done differently - and, for the first time, we understand why the outcome was inevitable.

Marcia Clark's revealing book examines the O.J. Simpson "Trial of the Century" and Clark's role in it, but it also tells a personal story of a modern-day heroine. Writing with candor and immediacy, Clark tells readers, straight from the hip, what she really thinks about the "Dream Team", Judge Lance Ito, Chris Darden, and the victims, especially Nicole Brown Simpson.

    Excellent read!

This very well written book chronicles the tale of the worlds most famous prosecutor. Just enough personal details to make the reader sympathize, we find a single mom who is burdened with going up against an unlimited budget defense. A great examination of all the people involved, you certainly will walk away from this book without a doubt!

Riveting Insider Account of Circus Trial

Clark divulges all the details about prosecution strategy and how incidents in her personal life led her to view Nicole as a kindred spirit. Some of her painful memories, suppressed for years, are brought to the surface by Nicole's tragic fate. The defense attorneys' methods of deception and misdirection are thoroughly examined as surprise witnesses are exposed as frauds time and again. Scheck is called most 'obnoxious' for subverting DNA science to protect the famous defendant. There are many revelations along the way, including the selective memories of certain key witnesses, who suddenly recalled everything at the civil trial. How important were jury consultants in this case? Very. What was wrong with the jury visit to the Rockingham/Bundy sites? Which prosecution lawyer irked Chris Darden the most? It's all here, and more, in this page-turner. It's an absorbing read- a sad tale of celebrity worshipped, race cards played and justice denied.
