Meet the Author

Abraham J. Twerski, M.D. ,"Pittsburgh's most famous psychiatrist," is the author of numerous acclaimed books on self esteem, healing, spirituality, and recovery. After serving for several years as a pulpit rabbi, Twerski entered Marquette University Medical School in Milwaukee and completed his psychiatric training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical School. He served as medical director of psychiatry at Pittsburgh's St. Francis Hospital, and later founded the Gateway Rehabilitation Center for treatment of alcohol and drug addiction.

    A Home Run!

    Dr. Twerski’s compassionate book will make you laugh and cry. His empathetic prose gives the reader the support and motivation to get back in the game.

    everyone that has lost their job due to the economy should read this - also, employers who let people go should read it - so they can see how the "other side" feels about how they are treated.
