Quite entertaining book, I wish the plot would be a bit more "faster" with more vivid characters. Other than that - it is great.

This is the fourth book in the series when we find out what the mysterious brother mentioned in "Dance to the Piper" and the other two books has been up to. He has been undercover in the war against terrorism and his own identity seems as fragmented as his idealism. Next to Anne Stuart, Norah Roberts does this plotline as well as anyone since the original Scarlet Pimpernel by Orczy. Nursing a half-healed bullet wound, drinking in the sun, the last thing Trace O'Hurley wants is to be dragged back into the morass of international arms and WMD's. But our heroine is desperate determined and willing to give anything (her life savings, her body, her heart) to gain his help. In a cool grace note during the happy endings, it turns out that Trace was acquainted with the hero-bodyguard from "Skin Deep." Four Stars.
