Not even close to being as good as tall, dark, and lonely. I loved chris in that book and in this one he sucked. Poor Izzy got a raw deal lol.

Chris was lovable in previous book but complete piece of unadulterated crap in this one

Wow,I don't know how Izzy put up with the rotten way Chris treated her right from the start. And why the heck did she keep apologizing to him? Who kidnapped whom? I liked Chris's family much better than him. He tried to throw her into the Sentinel lifestyle w/no warning while they at least tried to ease her in. The ending of the book left a few cliffhangers. And it also had me scratching my head at the unlikely alliances that developed. One irritant throughout, but especially towards the end of the book was the lack of decent editing. Spelling and grammatical mistakes were plentiful.

This was a great follow up to Tall, Dark & Lonely.

I made the mistake of reading Tall Dark & Heartless before this one. I'm glad I did because if I hadn't, I would have just stopped with this book. Chris was such an ass. No way izzy should have forgiven him. The way the scenes played out made it unbelievable to me that they were really in love. It rang untrue to me. I liked the other two books much more

In general I love all of her books but Chris made me want to throw something. He was an unforgivable ass and she forgave him for EVERYTHING with a drop of a hat. Not somethung I will read again. That being said all of her other books i have read twice and I am still looking forward to the next in the series. Sorry R.L. i couldnt wupport this one.

I was so eager to start this book after the amazing story of Ephraim and Madison. Chris was disappointing throughout most of the story. I thought he would have possessed limitless compassion for the one that he waited so long for, but he got caught up in his ideas (something many of us are guilty of doing...ha, and I went into the book w/ my own expectations too). A great lesson is that not everyone or everything will come to us in the way that we expect it to be delivered. Izzy was all over the place, but given her circumstances, her character was quite believable ( though I got tired of her antics). Her antics became repetitive and irritating like Chris's nasty attitude toward his mate. The characters showed growth by the end of the book and I was kept on the edge, regardless of my disappointment with a few characters. A few more characters were introduced that added a good twist. Kale and Logan were interesting. I hope to see more of them both in future books. I really liked Josh and Jill in this book. They are now grown up and can hold their own. Joshua's antics with Chris gave the right amount of comic relief to lighten heavy and sometimes sad scenes. The editing began to irritate me as well ( misspelled words and grammatical errors). I believe this interrupted the flow of the story. I vacillate between 3.5 and 4 stars because despite the fact that the characters didn't act the way I wanted them to act, the book was still a great read.
