Overview

Ian: Handsome* Stoic* Protective
Melanie: Beautiful * Funny * Free Spirit

Melanie is an extrovert, loving and kind, but tough and outspoken when necessary.
Ian is an introvert, all he wants is to claim his mate and keep her safe. Grunting more than one syllable words annoys him, but opening up to his mate becomes easier as he gets to know her. Well, somewhat easier.

Ian is the head enforcer for his pack. Something is pulling at him until he hits the road, looking for his mate. He finds Melanie, a free spirit hitchhiking in New Mexico. Once he gets her to his home in East Texas, he has to protect her from a wizard who wants her for her magical abilities.

Melanie couldn't wait to explore this feeling that led her to take to the highway. Finding Ian was more than she could have hoped for. The difficult part would be telling him of her family's legacy and the job she was entrusted with.

Meet the Author

Jo Ellen is the mother of three, two in college and one in high school. She is looking forward to that moment when she can kick her kids out the door into adulthood. But then she heard from friends that say they keep coming back...Big sigh. Jo looks at life as one humorous adventure, which comes across in her funny heroines. Her rule to live by is, "Don't sweat the small stuff."

Jo loves reading books with laugh out loud moments. "There is nothing better than reading a book and laughing when you are out in public somewhere. Everyone looks at you like your nuts, so you mumble, really good book." She tries to make laughter part of her stories for that moment when you live in the book you're reading.

Now the boring stuff. Breast cancer slowed her down somewhat, but now that her chemo and radiation are finished, she is looking forward to getting her writing back on track. The good news is her hair has grown about 3 inches since last April. Whoopee! Now she misses being waited on by her kids and husband. Another sigh...Back to work.

Her Wolf Creek series are contemporary romance, supernatural/fantasy books about werewolves, witches, shifters, mates, druids and wizards. Oh my!

    Sweet shifter story

I like how sweet this is. There's not much emphasis on sex, rather more about the characters. :):)
