An untriggered werewolf. A runaway Omega. It’s not easy fighting destiny.
Granite Lake Wolves, Book 2
Tad Maxwell’s workaholism serves to keep his bush-pilot company in the air, and his inner werewolf in check. In the two years since he discovered his heritage, he’s resisted the longing to test the power of his wolf side. It would mean compromising his human principles.
Then Missy Leason re-enters his life. Ten years ago, their teenage attraction never went beyond hand-holding. Now their chemistry is off the charts, pushing him closer to the step he’s not sure it’s safe to take, especially with a human.
But Missy is more like Tad than he realizes. She’s wolf too, and a wolf pack is a dangerous place to have secrets. Missy’s Alpha has sniffed out her carefully hidden Omega powers. Her first response: run from the corrupt Alpha’s plan to make her his mate. Step two: get to Tad, and hope like hell his untapped powers are strong enough to negate her own.
Every touch with Missy is hot, hot, hot, but even finding out she’s pure wolf doesn’t solve Tad’s dilemma. Is she using him, or are they truly destined mates? Only one thing is certain. He will defend her to his last breath—on his terms. Even if it means losing his life.

Lovely mind-candy for fun read. Sex scenes suitably steamy (surprised the snow didn't melt!). Good twist on the werewolf story.

I could not put my nook away until I finished reading about the main character's (cant think of her name right now) brother. All I can say is wow....wonder if I can go find me a wolf this weekend?? :) I have already purchased the 3rd book...can't wait to download it on Tuesday!!!!

I paid for a book and got a novella. The pages went to 106 but the story ended on page 88. This happened on the first book also. The story ended 20 pages short. The story was okay. Met, had sex, and became pregnant in less than a month. That is the story.

I liked the book, but I didnt find it as good as the previous book in the series. It didnt pull me into the story as I would have liked and then seemed rushed at the end. It had an interesting twist that will appeal to fans of the paranormal /wolf. The third and fourth books get better.

very good, to the point, for the mature reader

I really like the interaction between all the characters. I like the "family" attitude that a wolf pack displays. Missy is struggling with her pack alpha and has come to Tad for help. Tad can't let Missy face it alone. Missy and Tad use all their omega abilities in order to help save the day.

Vivian Arend is one of the best when it comes to werewolf stories - hope you enjoy this one as much as I did. She's written a whole series on this family - you should read them all in order if possible, if not still read them all, in any order they're wonderful.
