Glory was a kick a$$ heroine!
Just the kind I like. Glory is a great character. She is six feet tall, and plus sized and not ashamed of it. But she knows that most guys don't go for a girl who outweighs them.Luckily, Shadow, the Native American hunk who she thinks is into historical re=enactment, is even taller than she is, as buff as her fave wrestling star and adores her curves. It turns out that Shadow is NOT pretending to live in the 1800s. Glory's plane crashed in the future and ther is no electricity or other te4chnology. Glory has no where to go. Shadow is a wolf shifter who thinks she should be happy to be chosen to be his mate. Glory lets him know she'd rather crawl over glass.Watching Glory and Shadowwork out a relationship where they can both be happy is fun. Glory is the type who will cut off her nose to spite her face, but eventually she realizes that she loves Shadow. Shadow comes to realize that Glory is mroe than jsut a mate. She is a woman to love and cherish.
I enjoyed seeing this world again. It is so different than what the women from the plane are used to. I hadn't imagined what would happen if a couple dozen unmarreid women were suddenly plunked down into a world with hardly any women. Where would they live? How could they have safey if men were willing to kill for the chance to kidnap and marry them? I also loved seeing the secondary characters develope a little more. This series is interesting and I'm off to start Book 3 tonight.
