All Music Guide
Wolf's Law is the second record from Welsh rock trio The Joy Formidable. It follows the success of their debut full-length The Big Roar and bursts into life with Ritzy Bryan's breathless vocals and pounding guitar riffs. The band decamped to Portland, Maine to write and record much of the album in a secluded log cabin set in a snowy landscape, far from civilization. They returned to London to record the drums and string sections, but managed to retain the sense of solitude and isolation that the initial recordings produced.
