Overview

In the course of avenging her lover's death and fighting for Philippine independence, she learns to shoot a firearm, gets involved in the torture of Spanish soldiers, does household chores and laundry for the Americans and provides information to help the Filipino cause. She attempts and succeeds in shooting down General Lawton for a $10,000 reward but is forced to disguise as a man to avoid detection. Her last mission as a spy leads to her capture and eventual death by firing squad.
