    It's About Time

Bravo! Bravo, indeed. A lovely book, well-written, easy to read and on a topic too long ignored. It is a pleasure to find not just an author, but also a first-time author who found a tasteful way of talking about a formerly taboo topic. My hat is off to her for the writing, for braving the publishing jungle and finding a publisher willing to see her work to the print and market stage. This book is a big deal. It covers all the topics avoided by other authors on just living with a dog if you are a woman. What do you do if you are generously endowed with a large bosom and you still want to own and train a dog? What do you do with the dog when you are pregnant, nursing, or during that time of the month? These are real questions in need of real answers. Babette Haggerty-Brennan has managed to answer them all. She has covered these issues plus an entire book full of others. For any woman considering owning a dog for the first time, this book is a must. For any woman already owning a dog, this book is still a must, if for no other reason than for its ability to confirm and validate the problems you face as a woman dog owner. I give this book 5 stars and say to Babette, ¿Well done, well done indeed.¿ Margot Woods, Applewoods Dog Training, International Association of Canine Professionals

    Truely, Woman's Best Friend

During my past 34 of so years of training dogs for the public, I have searched and searched for the right book that'll help my female clients. None addressed the specific problems faced by the lady of the house. Finally, a book is available addressing all dogowner needs ranging from the single Cosmo gal to Mom with kids. The smart gal will read this book before getting a dog and the wisdom gained will put her many steps ahead of the average pet owner. Fellow dog professionals?? See that this book is required reading for all your clients.

A Book for Women by a Women

Babette makes dog training fun and enjoyable. The training is simple step by step instructions, easy to follow with pictures to help you along the way. But this is not one of those dry dog training books. Babette adds humor and stories based on her day to day experience that makes it a joy to read. Once you pick it up you won't want to put it down.

I can't believe no one ever thought of this before!

I ran into Babette at a dog trainer's convention. She gave me a copy of the draft. I am surprised no one ever thought of this before. I felt like I was sitting in on one of her seminars. It is very easy to follow and the directions are very clear for the average dog owner. She also throws some comedy in there to make it funny. As a trainer, I definitely picked up some bits of wisdom that I will apply to my training.
