Women in the Third World: A Directory of Resources

Women in the Third World: A Directory of Resources

by Thomas P. Fenton

Editorial Reviews

Library Journal - Library Journal
The editors acknowledge that the resources chosen for inclusion are ``by and large `partisan and biased' in favor of a `radical analysis' of Third World affairs.'' This orientation, although not exclusive, permits the inclusion of resources and viewpoints not found in traditional sources. The books, organizations, periodicals, articles, pamphlets, and audiovisuals listed update and expand many of the listings in the editors' 1984 Third World Resource Directory . Many of the sources are annotated, giving affiliation, focus, etc. Reference works such as this provide researchers and nonresearchers alike with access to knowledge and opinions otherwise hidden and unacknowledged. Recommended for most public and university libraries.Frada L. Mozenter, Univ. of North Carolina at Charlotte Lib.
