It would be helpful to know that the "help mete" in Genesis, in modern language is "helper equal" and that the original Hebrew word for helper is "ezar", a Hebrew military word for fellow soldier. God identifies Himself as our ezar in the word Eleazar. It is not a lesser station. So one can deduce that Eve was created equal to Adam. It wasn't until the fall that she was demoted to being under him. However, when Christ died, He removed the curse of the fall and woman was once again restored to an equal position with the man as indicated in the verse: "there is therefor now... no male or female, but all are equal in Christ Jesus. The verses regarding "suffer no woman to speak" were added in the 2nd or 3rd century by a Greek scribe, and are not original to Paul. God's ministry through women has been stifled for 2000 years. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
