WOMEN WHO KNEW THE MORTAL MESSIAH (Stories of 12 women from the New Testament)

Would a glimpse into Christ's eyes change your life forever?

Women Who Knew the Mortal Messiah shares stories of twelve New Testament women who did look into Christ's eyes--and their lives were forever changed. Their stories are presented in chronological order, so the entire book, is a picture of Christ's life and earthly ministry, from beginning to end, as seen through the eyes of these women.

Elisabeth, the mother of John the Baptist. Christ's Mother, Mary. Anna, prophetess at the temple. The Samaritan woman at Jacob's Well. The widow whose only son is raised from the dead. The woman who washes Christ's feet with her tears. The woman who touches Christ's hem and is healed. The Gentile woman with great faith. The adulteress caught in the very act. Martha. Pilate's wife. Mary Magdalene at the tomb.

Imagine the love they must have seen. When the Messiah laid His hands upon their heads and blessed them, what great power and love did they feel emanating from Him? When the Savior forgave them of their sins and healed them, body and soul, imagine the power that must have surged through them. Is is hard to imagine what they must have felt just standing in His presence, one of the crowd.

These women did not have to imagine. They knew. As long as there is a Savior, there is hope.

Meet the Author

Heather Horrocks lived overseas for her first seventeen years, waterskied through an oil slick in the Persian Gulf, partied with a Kuwaiti princess classmate, hid under the bed with her mother during a South American coup, flew in and out of the blacked-out Cairo airport mere moments before it was bombed during the Six Day War, and crossed the finish line first at Utah’s Miller Motorsports Park.

She’s written inspirational books (Women Who Knew the Mortal Messiah and Men Who Knew The Mortal Messiah), two mystery series (The Bad Mothers Club and WhoDunHim Inn), and the Chick Flick Clique romantic comedy series. She loves clever titles and beginnings that invite a reader in to sit a spell.

She lives with her husband Mark and dog Gus (who has his own blog at her website www.heatherhorrocks.com).

    Inspirational and heartwarming.

I think everyone can find something to relate to in these rich and deeply moving stories about women who look into Christ's eyes and feel his love. This is an excellent book. The stories and characters are realistic and well-drawn. I thought I'd read just one story, but was hooked and kept reading. The emotions are so real. I also really appreciated the table of contents and the flawless formatting. I highly recommend this book.
