Not even worth it at the great Nook price.

This magazine was highly disappointing. I'm glad I got the free trial subscription; I would have been mad had I even paid a dollar for this poor excuse for a magazine. The articles appear to be long ads for the products they promote. The ideas for fitness and weigh loss, rehashed ideas from the past. Nothing new or exciting in this magazine...the editors and publishers seem to spend their time and effort doing cut and paste jobs from Shape and Women's Day.

    Great for women under 35.

I chose not to continue my subscription because I couldn't relate to any of the articles or pictures. Where's the fitness magazines for women over 40, 50, 60?

This is one of my very fave "Fitness, healthy living and beauty" zines!

I was so excited to have been given a brand new "ColorNook" from my fiance'for Christmas! I have always loved "Women's Health" magazine. I purchase it every month, because(in my opinion) I consider it to be a "real" woman's guide to living a well rounded, healthy, fit lifestyle. It embraces the reader with encouragement, that has a unique, fresh upbeat tone. It also touches on personal interests and activities of all kinds, that define what healthy living can be. The focus is on taking activity that you enjoy and building upon that to make your body both look and feel its best! Small things can really boost how you feel;for example,if I wear baggy sweats to jog in? Not good! How about comfortable workout fashion that works hard for you and helps you look good and feel good as you progress? Of course! How about articles on cute, easy to achieve ponytails, updo's or braids that will see you from workout to a night out? How about nutrition? Ever wonder about the health benefits of strawberries, dairy, or various grains for your body? What's best to eat before a big run? ?How do they benefit our heart, our bone health? How about some healthy meal ideas to incorporate those tasty fruits to and veggies, that are simple to make and taste delicious! How about some yummy smoothie recipes? What about the latest lip smoothing balms or glosses for lips? The latest craze in mineral makeup? Yes, this is absolutely a fitness based magazine, but it's a "complete" fitness based, lifestyle magazine; written for real women from all walks of life, who care about being active, looking and feeling their best both inside and out! I got inspiration from a past issue of this magazine to return to my love of ice skating that I enjoyed as a child. As nervous as I was? I found it was much like riding a bike! Before I knew it, I was gliding across the ice rink, and I was in heaven! With that, came a new sense of well being! The great side effects? I'm losing those extra pounds that had crept up on me. I'm gaining that grace again, and I've started doing yoga each day as well, which I truly enjoy so much. I'm working on getting back into my skinny jeans by this Summer. But above all, I feel good about myself again. Women's Health zine stars strong women, who show us safe muscle building forms of exercise, from heart pumping workouts,to yoga with its incorporation of form in movement;and healthy deep breathing. I think learning how to relax is a very difficult thing for women to learn in today's busy life. I'm learning how to incorporate healthy living into my everyday life.I skate, but I also love long walks with our dog! I love to hike. I love finding healthy new ways to cook and my fiance' and I are using the very ideas and inspiration I find from this magazine to improve the fitness level of our everyday living, and we're enjoying it! Instead of six straight hrs in front of the TV after a weekend meal? We grab the dog leash and off we go together for an hour long walk! We both really enjoy being outdoors,& are on our way to a healthier lifestyle. As for the how the magazine is formatted for my "Color Nook?" I couldn't be more pleased! Each page is full of color and is beautiful! It's so much easier to carry my Nook inside my handbag, than to try to tote a full size magazine with me, along with maybe an umbrella, a gym bag, etc. I just LOVE my "NookColor" and I'm so happy that B&N is carrying not only a life

I wanted some ideas and tips to add to my workout or diet. HIGHLY disappointing!!! More ads and full page pictures then anything. So glad it had a 14 day trial....

A Wealth of Information Relative to Your Health!

Being skeptical of subscribing to another magazine (due to most containing so many ads these days), I must say I REALLY LOVE Women's Health Magazine! I have received 3 issues to date and truly enjoy the large variety of topics covered. I've been a serious healthnut for the last 40 years, thus am still interested in everything from proper nutrition, to staying in shape; including diseases of any kind; food powers that prevent, treat, or relieve medical issues; healthy skin and hair, and topics relative to children, etc... You name it, I am into everything regarding health... The recipes inside Women's Health Magazine are very good, however, I do find ways to decrease the sodium in most. Nevertheless, this magazine is a great choice for those who have similar interests. Thank you, Rodale! I always look forward to seeing a new issue appear on my NookColor! By the way...For users of NookColor, all you have to do is click onto 'ArticleView' (located at the very top of your screen) to view the article(s) on that page, and scroll down as you read it in the FONT SIZE you wish...How amazing! I used to have SO MANY magazines stored in my library, but now, I just thank Barnes & Noble for the library on my NookColor!!!

Magazine does not have a focus

I was hoping for a health focus/food/more exercises/prevention of disease, etc. for women of all ages. Not so.

not what I expected - and not in a good way!

This magazine was disappointing. Not as much health information as I wanted. I cancelled my subscription after the first month. I prefer Oxygen magazine.

    Disappointing

I follow @Womenshealth on twitter and I I liked the articles that they would post and thought it wouild be worth my while to subscribe since I am always looking out for ways to be more healthy and more efficient when I exercise. This magazine was an epic fail in delivering what I thought they should

    Not impressed

I found this magazine boring and more like cosmo than a health magazine. No good information or workouts. Waste of money.

    AAWESOME Fitness/Lifestyle Magazine

I highly recommend this magazine! The writers and contributors are GREAT and SO knowledgeable. I have kept so many of the workouts and recipes, and purchased many of the books that have been recommended in this magazine. Worth every penny, and ESPECIALLY good on the Nook color!
