In Roe v. Wade, perhaps the most controversial United States Supreme Court decision, Norma McCorvey fought for and won the right to secure an abortion. Though she never had an abortion, under the pseudonym "Jane Roe," Norma reluctantly became the poster child for the pro-choice movement. Over the next two decades, Norma experienced the grief and despair of millions of women who chose to abort their babies; she witnessed the destruction of thousands of human lives in abortion clinics where she worked; and the "champion: of the pro-choice movement was soon being crushed by the weight of so much death, and so many ill-considered "choices." Finally, she began to break. She found out that the real choice she had been burdened with was not about abortion but about eternal life. It was a choice that would shock the world and change Norma's life forever.

An Excellent Read- The Truth Behind Norma's Life

When I caught wind of Norma McCorvey joining the pro-life movement, I couldn't help but think about the irony and was amazed. This book explains how Norma was completely controlled, brainwashed, and manipulated to spawn legalized abortion in America. This book is a wonderful piece of work because it is carefully thought out and reflects upon abortion through years of experience in working with abortion itself rather than fancy talk, misleading euphemisms, lies, and deceptions by abortion activists of both sides. This is a 'no nonsense, tell it like it is' witness testimony directly from the 'Roe' in Roe Vs. Wade that needs no introduction. A fine selection for both pro-life and pro-choice readers who are capable of hearing Norma's story from a compassionate and objective point of view.

    Awkwardly funny and heartbreaking

It's a pure dose of a real 'hick' person being used as a tool for lawyers, doctors and special interst groups to get their way. Norma is down to earth, blunt and very real. As a southern myself I understand how she comes across. Seemingly uneducated yet witty. many people in the south speak this way or have relatives that do. It's a serious book, but Norma is very good about keeping it true to her rough and rowdy character. Laughter and tears are what to expect.

And a little child shall lead them...

Norma McCorvey had been used and exploited her entire life -- first by men, then by the abortion advocacy movement. Young, uneducated, and pregnant, Norma was swept up by two ambitious attorneys who saw in this confused, befuddled Texas carnie the very thing they needed to achieve their political agenda. Abandoned by her self-appointed saviors, rejected by the movement that embraced what she supposedly stood for, and hated and vilified by right-to-lifers for a role she'd unwittingly played, Norma learned to be hard and impenetrable. But there was one force she hadn't reckoned on -- a little girl named Emily. Won By Love is the amazing true story of how fear and hatred were transformed into joy by the simple faith of a child.

A very good read, the Norma you never knew

This is beyond a doubt the best book I have read all year. Normas honesty and life story are there for everyone to see. I am so blessed and pumped to read about her changed life. A must read for anyone considering abortion, or just wants to get totally blessed at God's love and mercy that was shown to her when she least expected it.
