Overview

This second part of the Wonder collection of short stories brings three New Adult Paranormal tales to read by the fire with the Christmas tree lights twinkling.

Presence
What do you get the woman who needs nothing while staying within her “rules”? Tristan strives to find the perfect present for Alexis, although all she wants is him. Will he unearth just the right gift in time, or is his presence really enough? In response to fans’ high demand, this story comes from the man himself, winner of several book-boyfriend and best-hero contests. Told from Tristan’s point-of-view, Presence contains plenty of steam to keep you warm through the chilly holiday season.

Miracle: A Vampire’s First Christmas
Once among the elite of the evil Daemoni, a vampire converted to the good side experiences her first Christmas. She struggles to understand the traditions and expectations of the season and believes she’ll never get it. At least, until she meets someone who needs her help—and will never be able to repay her. Can this newly changed vampire find the true miracle of Christmas in her heart and soul? Or will she stay in the comfort zone of her wicked ways?

Joy
Daemoni warlock Claire always does what everyone else wants her to do, and she can’t help but wonder if this makes her bad at being bad. Wanting to do something for herself for once, she bails on the Random Acts of Evil festivities for anti-Christmas and disappears. When sparks fly between her and a were-bear she runs into, she sees her chance to defy the most controlling people in her life: her family. But…will she have the courage to do it or will she bow down to them once again?

Meet new characters and revisit your favorites from the world of the bestselling Soul Savers Series by Kristie Cook. This is the second of a three-part collection, with Thanksgiving already released and New Year’s coming early December 2013.

I loved this collection of shorts!!! The book consists of 3 stories, and they were all wonderful. The first story was a Daemoni character story. Even though they are the bad guys, I always find myself rooting for them :) The second story was so cute that it actually made me tear up! The third story was my favorite. It was sexy and sweet at the same time! I love these short stories because it's a nice break from all of the drama. They are cute, fun reads and I really enjoyed this one a lot!

I always take notes when wanting to review a book but I couldn't

I always take notes when wanting to review a book but I couldn't with this book, it was a clear read through. Joy the first short story was gripping with new characters. What would break your Christmas spirit? The Daemoni try to use the weather to break the spirit of the normans below but it doesn't work. I love the description of Claire heading towards the cabin and how she managed to occupy it.
Miracle the second short story has changed my view of Vanessa and is now my favorite character, I can also relate to her. She tries so hard to follow and enjoy the festive season it is hard when it doesn't come naturally. This short story had me in tears and my coffee went cold. My favorite quote is "Damn, I was turning into Alexis" this quote may not seem like much but in context it is powerful.
Presence the 3rd short story gives us Tristan's POV and OMG you will need oxygen!! Fabulous writing skills from Kristie Cook again, she never disappoints her fans. We all ask ourselves what do we get our spouse or our best friend for Christmas. Tristan is faced with the same issue but he doesn't let us down, or Alexis for that matter. One of my favorite quotes is "I chuckled at the memory of my wife with the kangaroo. If Alexis were here, she would have hit me". I really wish this was a novel rather than a short story.
