Every page presents a surprise in every available spot. Children will be delighted with this book, as entertainment and as a source of information. It is a pop-up, pull-flap book, but it is not like the other books you have seen; it is all about Australia, the "land down under." Page one opens with a full spread of kangaroos, emus, and wallabies, and a death adder snake hiding at the bottom of the page. The last page offers a full spread of the favored koala, high in a eucalyptus tree. This book would be an excellent gift for any child in the recommended age group or a wise purchase for any teaching unit covering Australia, or the animals of Australia.
