Another perfect story in the Series! Wonder's First Race is yet another classic story of a girl and her horse. In this fast paced novel, Ashleigh and Charlie begin Wonder's racing career. They find that she is an incredible filly with enough speed to race in the famous Triple Crown racing series. But then, at a critical preparation time for the Triple Crown, Wonder is severely injured. Can Ashleigh and Charlie overcome the odds and nurse the filly back to health that has already had to overcome so much? I highly recommend this book as the third installment to Joanna Campbell's Thoroughbred Series. It's an incredible book that any reader would enjoy.

Once Wonder showed promise, I knew she would steal my heart. I know so much about racing because of Ashliegh, Wonder, Charlie and all of there friends. Wonder is a beautiful filly and no one would believe that she was great but once I heard about Wonder, my love went to her. When Wonder starts her racing carrer, I knew she was a champion and one day be horse of the year. No horse could compete against Wonder. She was the only horse I loved.

This is a wonderful book that you must add to your collection. It is basically about showing people you can do something even if you are different in some way. It was a real page turner. I could never put it down. I recommend this book for anybody who loves and owns horses.

Granted I've only read the Thoroughbred Series up to #11 but I love it so far. I thought that this book was one of the most worthy of writing a review for. It grabs your attention right away by immediately placing you at Wonder's First Race and it doesn't let you go. This book breaks from the gate and doesn't slow down until you cross under the wire with Wonder and Jilly. I really loved this book.

I think this is the best book with Ashleigh and Wonder in it! It's so amazing how Ashleigh has such a good bond with Wonder. When i read this book i got nervous for Wonder before her races! Joanna Campbell did a great job on this book, she makes you think that you are really there! I think that they should make a movie of the whole Thoroughbred series! I am looking for horse crazy people to talk to! Email me! Thanks!

I have not finished this book yet, but so far it's outstanding!!!! Wonder reminds me of a favorite horse at my stable- Spencer. Although he's like Dominator in a way.....he's not too old, but they didn't want him for racing so they gave him to my farm. If I ever have a horse I would want one like Wonder. This story is amazing and so is the whole series. I've read 4 of them so far and they have changed my life since the books made me a better rider. If you would like to find out anything about the books e-mail me!

I love this book because it is exciting when a once sickly foal that no one thought would live is racing in the kentucky derby all because of a girl who had the courage to devote most of her time to a sick foal. I loved reading about wonder racing in the kentucky derby it was very exciting!!!
