The author's attention to detail and unbiased approach demonstrates his command of the subject. Furthermore, Blum does an extraordinary job correlating the similarities prevalent in all of Wilson's leadership positions. To be sure, his thematic approach adds to the book's usefulness. Defining the inherent factors that established Wilson's decision making strategies and demonstrating how he ultimately molded those strategies gives the reader better understanding of Wilson's rationale. Moreover, he introduces characters in context and provides a well organized index to aid in the text's usability. Any graduate student or scholar advaced in early twentieth century American history would benefit from the text. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
