    GRANDSON HAS BECOME A "SUPER CHEF"

    Purchased this for my now 9 yr old grandson, Christmas 2009. HE LOVES IT.
    He wants to make the recipes all the time with my son. My son, his wife and her three children came for a visit last week. Zack brought his book and together he and I cooked out of the book. Not only did we prepare food for the entire family using his book, but he also helped me prepare a few family meals. In fact, Zack, his older brother Levi, my husband and I together prepared a meal for the rest of the family, sent out invitations to the meal, served it and had italian music playing in the background. The meal was italian themed. The boys had a wonderful time, the food was fantastic and they were very proud of themselves. They even got a 4 dollar tip left at the table for the meal. Imagine that! So, I guess I can say, that not only does Zack enjoy and is encouraged from the book, so is his older 11 year old brother.
    If you have a child who always wants to be part of the kitchen scene, then I highly recommend this book as a starter. If you have a child that might need some focus, this book may help. If you are looking for something that the family can do together on a rainy afternoon or snowy cold night, this book is fun. Not only do your children get to make something with your guidance, but the book can be a self esteem builder, a self motivator, build confidence and all with a great fun treat to reward their efforts when all is done.
    Great investment.

    Imaginative, colorful cookbook

    It has been fun to make some of these recipes with my 7 year old granddaughter. She feels great pride putting her concoctions on the table for the family.

    Kids loved it!

    This cookbook may be slightly outdated, but my children were captivated by it! The heavy duty contruction is great for little hands, and the imaginative names for the recipes made us all smile and laugh. This is great for stimulating parent/child activities together. Overall Good product!

    For every star wars fan

    I purchased this for my Star Wars maniac 6 year old son and also for a friend of his. We love this book. He can do just about everything without too much help. Thats the reason I purchased it. Most of the recipes have some nutritional value which is a plus, but not all. You can easily substitute other ingredients if desired. I love the way its designed, like a cookbook, not like a book. The best part is most of the ingredients are things we might already have. We may need to purchase a few things but not many. My son picks out a recipe and then we set about gathering the things we need. Its a lot of fun. We find ourselves making Yoda Soda just for fun. My 3 year old daughter loves it too.

    Great for kids and adults alike!!!!

    I checked this title out of the library for my autistic son who LOVES Star Wars. We made the brownies and it was such an amazing experience cooking WITH him. If you have children who like Star Wars, get this cookbook! It's such a great way to spend some quality time with the kids.

    My 5-year-old son loves it!

    We bought this book for our son (SW fan, of course). We have always encouraged him to be in the kitchen and help. However, he could have been more enthusiastic about it until he got this cookbook. Now he says that he is the BIG chef and I'm his helper. Most recipes are simple and easy. The Obi-Won-kebabs are nothing more than chicken and veges on skewers, but it is the presentation (great photos of the dishes with SW figures) that appeals to him. Since he cooks, he eats everything including things he was never happy to eat before. And the simplicity of the recipes is appreciated by the supervisor (i.e. me!). He, a reader in training, also tries to read ingredients because he is eager to know what he needs to buy at the next grocery shopping!

    This book is fun to use. It's fun for biginers and older and more experentsed cooks. So I say buy the book.

    wonderful&creative

    the star wars cook book really sets the enjoyment of cooking for kids. when one of my friend gave it to their son their son just could not stop cooking the recipies. i still walk into the house and see him cooking sometimes. but now he loves to cook other things to not in the cookbook.
