Editorial Reviews

Bruce Fink
Gunn has done something that few people have ever achieved: he has written an exceptionally perceptive account of the last few months of his analysis in a way that is both gripping and entertaining. His narrative approach, encompassing the hilarious aspects of his daily life in Paris as well as well as the more associative and probing wok of analysis, makes for a page-turner that at the same time explores the psychoanalytic process in provocative ways.
Oliver James
In the small canon of literary fiction concerned with psychoanalysis, Wool-gathering is a milestone because, unlike all previous efforts, it is funny and not earnest. Gunn manages to make the agonizing question of when to end the treatment hilarious without slagging the whole process off.
