Awal Mohammed Alhassan was born in Ghana. He studied Economics and Geography at the University of Cape Coast in Ghana. He then completed MSc in Management of Natural Resources and Sustainable Agriculture (MNRSA), Norwegian University of Life Sciences Ås, and also M. Phil. in Multi-Cultural and International Education, Oslo University College, Norway
He is currently a Lecturer\Researcher Ski Adult Education- Norway (Voksenopplæring i Ski ) and also completing a PhD in Education at the University of South Africa. He has worked as a teacher in Ghana, Lesotho, South Africa and Norway. He has been working with Minority Students and immigrants for the past 15 years in Norway.

Author 2: Dr. Ahmed Bawa Kuyini
Ahmed Bawa Kuyini is currently engaged as Senior Lecturer in Social Work and Education at the University of New England, Australia. Bawa was born in Ghana and attended school in Ghana before completing a Bachelor of Education (Hons) Degree at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana.
He taught at a Teachers' Training College and a secondary school and then studied Social Work at Volda University College, Norway. After working briefly as a social worker for Asker Kommune (Local Government), Norway, he went on to complete a PhD in Education at the University of Melbourne, Australia.
Bawa's research interests are in special /inclusive education and social work, including refugees and migration, disability child rights & Foster care.
